3 months old
It's so hard to believe my little girl is 3 months old already. These 13 weeks have flown by way too fast. Amelia can now roll over (yay!), and she is so strong, she is almost able to sit up by herself. She laughs and talks to Mommy and Daddy. She still loves playing in her ocean, and the mirror recently caught her attention. It has made tummy time much more enjoyable for her.
Sleeping:
Amelia is sleeping beautifully. She takes about 3-4 cat naps during the day. Bed time is becoming more routine, and Mia sleeps through the night (thank you, BabyWise) and so Jacob and I can now count on some alone time together. Yay! She wakes up happy, and that makes Mommy happy.
We have had some issues, however, with nap/bed time. You see, Amelia very visual, and is stimulated easily. Even when she was born, she just looked around and didn't cry right away. So needless to say, I would put her down for a nap when she was sleepy, but instead she would become stimulated again and talk to her mobile above her crib and try to play with it. Then she would get upset because she couldn't reach it. So, Mommy moved the mobile and Nonna got black-out curtains for the nursery and now Mia goes to sleep just fine. We can't get her settled down to sleep if there are a lot of lights on. Sound and music, she's ok with, but light, well, she would be up for a while.
All in all, Mia is still a happy baby girl. She makes us smile more and more, and it's been amazing so far. Can't wait for what's next!
